Terms of use

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The short version

  • Classrota is free. It's a planner for your timetable and homework, on the web and on Apple devices.
  • You need to be 13 or over, and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
  • What you put in is yours. We only use it to run Classrota for you.
  • Classrota is a helper, not your school's official record. If it matters, check with your school.
  • You can stop and delete your account at any time.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Techtix Global ("Classrota", "we", "us"). They cover the Classrota website at app.classrota.com, this website, and the Classrota apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch (together, "Classrota"). By creating an account or using Classrota you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Classrota.

Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain what we do with your information. They sit alongside these terms.

2. Who can use Classrota

3. Your account

4. What you put into Classrota

Your timetable, homework, notes, photos and anything else you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show them back to you, on your devices and to anyone you choose to share a link with, only so that Classrota can work. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Please only add things you have the right to add. Don't put other people's personal details into Classrota beyond what a timetable needs, such as a teacher's name.

5. Using Classrota fairly

Please don't:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

6. Other services you connect

You can choose to sign in with Apple or Google, connect Google Classroom, or connect a calendar link from your school's system. Those services belong to other companies and have their own terms. Whether they work with Classrota can depend on your school's settings, and they may change or stop without notice. Classrota isn't affiliated with Apple, Google or Arbor Education.

7. A planner, not an official record

Classrota shows what you, or a service you connected, put into it. It can be out of date or wrong: a room may change, a lesson may be cancelled, a reminder may not arrive. Your school's own information always comes first. Don't rely on Classrota alone for anything important, such as an exam time.

8. Price and changes

Classrota is free. If we ever add paid features, we'll say so clearly before you're asked to pay for anything. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Classrota. If we close it down, we'll give you reasonable notice where we can so you can copy out what you need.

9. Our rights

Classrota's name, logo, design and software belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms don't give you any rights in them, other than the right to use Classrota as described here.

10. App licence (EULA)

This section is the end user licence agreement for the Classrota apps you download from Apple's App Store. It applies together with the rest of these terms.

11. Our responsibility to you

We provide Classrota with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or right for a particular purpose. Because Classrota is free:

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the legal rights you have under the law where you live.

12. Ending things

You can stop using Classrota at any time, and delete your account and everything in it from Settings → Account. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to by law. We'll tell you why where we can.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Classrota changes. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you in Classrota or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Classrota after that, you accept the new terms.

14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts will deal with any dispute. If you are a consumer living somewhere else, you keep any protections that the law where you live says can't be taken away, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
